Digital Photo Prints - Digi Prints

For small format photo prints - 6 x 4 to 8 x 12 inches.

• Please save your files as JPEGS or TIFFS with no extra channels, layers or paths at the size you want at 300dpi (eg. 7x5 inches @ 300dpi)
• Please save as sRGB rather than any other RGB colourspace - and not as CMYK
• Please save as 8 bit files (not 16 bit) and without LZW or other compression for TIFFs
• Please supply your files on a PC disk, card or CD-ROM with PC extensions. (MAC users please note!)
• Please size (millimeter perfect) to fit the various formats shown in the chart below
• The file size chart below is a guide only and shows optimum file sizes as well as “long edge” pixel counts. Images may crop slightly.
• When dimensions do not match these print formats, the file will be printed within the print dimensions requested, without cropping.
• A note for high end digital camera users, large file sizes are not required for small sizes. When open / un-compressed file sizes are larger than the max file sizes required for the various print formats, we may need to charge extra for re-sizing – but we will advise you first.

• JPEG (In our experience Jpegs are fine saved down to level 8 compression. As long as they have not been saved multiple times or contain gradients.)

Large Format Prints - Lambda Digital Master Photo Prints

• Please supply images in 8 bit RGB colour mode. (No 16 bit files please.)
• TIFFs or JPEG files are accepted (No unflattened PSD files please unless further editing is required.)
• Supply native application files if the design needs further editing.
• Supply artwork at 100% of full size with bleed.
• Supply all linked files/fonts (if any.)
• Embed colour profiles in images and let us know what colour profiles you used in your document. (We prefer Adobe RGB 98.)

Large Format Prints - Rho UV Inkjet

• Please supply images in 8 bit CMYK colour mode. (No 16 bit files please.)
• TIFFs or JPEG files are accepted (No unflattened PSD files please unless further editing is required.)
• Supply native application files if the design needs further editing.
• Supply artwork at 100% of full size with bleed.
• Bear it mind that if you print on a non-white surface this may affect how the colour looks. For example if you print a 20% of yellow on a material that is not white (say unpainted ply wood) you will not get the cream colour that you would normally expect. This can be fixed by under printing with white ink. If you have any questions about direct to substrate printing or printing with white ink please call us.
• Supply all linked files/fonts (if any.)
• Embed colour profiles in images and let us know what colour profiles you used in your document. (We prefer U.S. SWOP)

Rho UV Inkjet - White Ink Printing

Our Durst Rho can also print using white ink. This is done by setting up the area you want printed as white as a spot colour called White Ink.If you require white ink it is best to supply us with your working files in PhotoShop or Illustrator so we can make any changes to the file to prepare it for printing.

Pantone and spot colour matching.

If spot matching is required please supply a list of colours and ideally the artwork in the original design application, Flattened Images and PDF files make spot colour matching difficult.

We will try to match as close as possible to Pantone colour. Alternatively you can provide a swatch for us to match to.

Please refer directly to the Pantone Solid to Process Guide when choosing a PMS colour to make sure you know what to expect then when it's converted to CMYK not all Pantone colours are achieveable in CMYK.
